Question Anyone Running a TD Side Exit Exhaust?

I want to start out with a TSP true dual setup and then run the exhaust out to the side of the car right infront of the rear tires. I found these 2 pics but no other information.

Is anyone running a setup like this? If so what are your thoughts/opinions/advice/ect...

Thanks

I too am curious about this as I think it would look cool and reduce noise from dumps at the axle.

I think the hardest part would be getting good clearance near the side skirts so heat doesn't come into play, while still maintaining decent clearance.

With SFC's that might be asking for a beating on anything like the first speed bump you encounter. I don't really like the way that the flange connects the 2 pieces of pipe together. You probably will find more true dual exhaust setups either dump at the rear axle or go out the back for a reason. That above setup is going to be a clearance nightmare unless it is 1" pipe.

I think it would look better if they didnt just come out under the side skirt. I mean if you could cut a section out back the and make it look like it actually fits. If it was done correctly, I think it could look real nice.

From all the research i've done most have said it will be a ground clearance nightmare. I also very much wanted to do the side exit but am going to stick with a cat-back for now.

Well I think I'm going to try it. My car isn't lowered at all and it shouldn't cost that much to do (after I buy the TD setup). And if I don't like it or it has no clearance at all then I'll just cut the damn thing off, no shame in trying right?

One way or another I'll post up and tell ya'll how it works out.

i would think as long as the car isnt lowered it should make it. i was seriously considering doing a similar setup, but think i am going to stick with my catback for now.
