Great guild: https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-ls1-owners-newbie-tech/361959-so-you-wanna-fast.html

But as for the smaller things. Airbox lid should be the first thing you do, after that you need to decide where you want to go with the car (daily driver, drag car, ect...) And think about what you want to deal with (sh*tty gas mileage, loud-assed exhaust, ect...)

Most of all just read alot of posts here, people will talk about what they like/dont like and you can get a pretty good idea on where to go with your car.

read the " so you wanna be fast..." sticky in this section, but pretty basic stuff would be, full exhaust ( LT headers, catback ) a lid, some pulleys are pretty basic as far as performance goes, as far as looks, new wheels and tires . there is alot of free mods, performance wise and appearance wise, just do a search on em, and take a look in the appearance section someone is always getting new ideas you can " borrow " good luck hope this helps.

Well I dont have the car yet but I want it to stay as a daily driver that will beable to hold its own on the street. Also, I dont want to kill the mpg and would like to keep it up in the 18's atleast.

Also, ive heard about people tuning these cars with their laptops? How do you do this because this sounds cool and would be something id want to do when I get my 'f-body' Man, im so excited about getting an f-body. :o

To tune it with a laptop, you need the software, either hptuners, or ls1edit

Definately read the stickies in this section. To keep good gas mileage, but have power I would do a lid, LT's & ORY, a cutout if you want, a pulley, and a tune. There are other things that wont hurt your gas mileage, but these are just a few of the basics.
