Can't get efi-live to connect.
I just received efi-live I loaded it on my labtop and went out to the car to try and connect it. I hooked up all of the cables and started to connect and I keep getting a reading saying could not detect and obdII vehicle. How do I fix this problem any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks Jessie

Check your COM port that you are hooked up to....I'm not sre what the deal is but EFI Live connection to my car can be a pain as well. Once it finally connects it is great <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Key is in the on position all cables are connected properly. We think it has something to do with the actual comm port on my labtop. But we are not sure we are trying everything.

Re: Can't get efi-live to connect.
Any suggestions on what to try with the comm port. I'm not to advanced with computers but I'm almost positive it has something to do with the comm port. I know the plug under the dash is working properly(i plugeed my hppIII in and there was no problems). So any suggestions on the comm would greatly be appreciated thanks

Re: Can't get efi-live to connect.
Ok we think we have narrowed down the problem, the interface unit that is displayed on the start up screen is the t16 or something like that, the interface that i have is the B&B electronics one. I go to properties and change the preferred interface to autotap v2.0 but it does not change it on the main efi live screen. It keeps failing all of these connections when trying to connect using t16. Is their anyway to change the interface.

Go to EFI live web site and download the latest version update, I had the same problem. I down loaded it and it works fine. They had a bad version that was sent out, it's now corrected. Andy
