Cut-outs (did you pass inspection)
I am thinking about geting electric cut-outs. I was wondering how hard it is to pass inspection. Also i have a friend who can weld, would it be hard for a novice welder to install cutouts on the y pipe?

just dont let them look under there, if its the sniffer and you have the cutout closed i dont see why you wouldnt pass but if they do a visual inspection then you might get caught, if they do find it tell them its factory lol. just say " look it has the endention on the underbody for it and came like that from the factory" lol.

Yeah i was gonna suggest that too. If they give you hassle pretend you have no clue about it. Be like that looks perfectly normal there with the indent under the seat.

If they check and they want to they CAN fail you. ask why? B/C ive been failed for a cutout before. Tried playing dumb but the guy said that it was possible for me to bypass my muffler which makes it illegal. Unlikely if its capped off but can happen

I am a new member of the cutout family.....two days so far...and god does it sound mean with headers and a cam! Anyhow when I drive at night, I shift VERY early, and I do the speed limit in 5th gear....in other words 45, and I let it coast as much as I can. Guess you can call me a *****.....lol.
But yes, as far as the noise goes, how about all them Harleys??? Or have you ever heard a big Diesel truck when it uses it's engine brake?
Oh well, I'll probably end up capping mine most of the time...it does kinda kill your ears.

i dont see why its illegal to have it capped. track use only. its the same as having slicks in your back seat, your not using them, they are just there for the track.
im glad i dont live somewhere with faggy laws, no inspection here
