Default ...put the money into mods or fancy headlights?

Yup! They are the prototype headlight assemly, that SLP was trying to work out for our 4th gen, LS1 hawks.

I really do like them, so I'm trying to decide, $10,000 (plus shipping) for a 1 of a kind headlight or more go-fast mods.

...hhmm...

Hey dude, $10,000.00 is a damned bargain. go for the headlights!!! But, let me suggest that you refuse to pay the shipping cost.

You'd think after posting these damn things 50 times on Ebay with no sales that Hamburger would get the message he's a laughing stalk trying to get $10K for these lights.

NO headlights are worth 10k. Thats not a bargain its a screw job plus s+h. I think your better off with the non popup head lights for $1,000 and used the rest of your money for whatever

The best thing is that they probably really have like 100 of them. They'll keep selling them saying "This is our last set."

It's a marketing ploy to draw attention to his ebay store. This has been gone over in previous threads. Those are the only known models of the proposed Firehawk lights. It takes a specially modified Firehawk hood to fit those.

They never made it to production becasue of crash certification and the timing involved in trying to get these cars to market. They were already under the gun for not making the 1998 model year.

He won't put a realistic price on them becasue he doesn't want them sold. Period.

I wish he'd sell them at an attainable price so a true enthusiast would make the effort to mount 'em.

You'd have to mod a Firehawk hood- it would be a labor of love for sure.

if a hood could be made... and you owned the only set of headlights why not just make a mold and sell a bunch... he11 make 1000 sets and sell them for $100 each and you get a lot more than 10k.

I'm looking to replace my pop up lights. Where could I get an affordable prototype headlight assembly?

I have a notion to bid on them just to get him thinking he may have to part with them. It would be worth the negative feedback and the slap on the wrist from Ebay to nail him.
