Default Signs to tell if your clutch is slipping

Alright guys i was wondering if there is anyway to tell if my clutch is slipping or going out. Cause im having a problem with mine, its like my clutch enagement point moved up from a little off the floor and now it engages more then halfway up. I was told to try putting the car in 6th gear while doing about 40 and punch it. If it slips, well obviously its a slipping clutch. i tried this and there was no slipping. So i was wondering if then its possible if there might be air in the line or something, and if i should bleed it? If anyone has any suggestions i would appreciate it alot.. Thanks

After breaking in my RAM Powergrip, the engagement moved up in the pedal travel (was just off the floor, and is now about half way up). If you ain't smellin burning clutch, and it ain't slipping in 6th gear when you give it some gas, it is probably holding just as it should.

It couldn't hurt to try rebleeding, but to me, what you describe sounds normal.

right but it engages almost all the way at the top, its too a point where its hard to get the car to move cleanly, its jerking and bucking..

I've driven a Spec just like that...as stated, just try and bleeding again. If you slip that particular clutch too much, it'll wear very quickly, possibly causing that as well.

Jake, take the car on the highway. Get up to about 80 and put it in 6th gear. Floor it. If the RPM needle goes up faster than the MPH needle, then it's slipping. If not, try bleeding.

I don't know if this is true for hydraulic linkage but as the clutch surface wears down, the engagement point will get higher and higher off the floor. Speaking for manual linkage anyway as I recall. It doesn't mean it is slipping.
