got her home
well, i already posted about this car, but, i finally got her home. i fly down to south carolina for it and drove it back home.
its a 99 formula with head/cam work and a new exaust and clutch and some other goodies. puts down around 425 to the wheels. i bought it from hawks third gen. parts, and i cant say enough good things about this place and my whole experence.
anyway, im glad i found this message board, it seems like a great place to be.

ah, its a really dark blue/purple. it all depends on how the sun hits it. sometimes it looks strait blue(if the sun isnt directly hitting it). if the sun is directly hitting it(like that picture), it looks really purple. sometimes it looks both purple and blue. lol.

o, i forgot to mention. the car was a salvage. thats why there's no plate on it yet. when i brought it back from SC it was still on its SC salvage title. last week i had it inspected and filled all the paperwork out to apply for my reconstructed title and things. i was alittle worried at first when i found out it was a salvage, but, the mechanic who inspected it said the car looked great, and that he could hardly tell where it was even hit. that kinda put my mind to ease. i drove the car almost 700 miles home too, and had no problems what so ever. so.... im deffinitly happy with my new car.
the only thing that SUCKS is we've been having some real nice days here in pa, but i cant drive this thing legally yet because i dont have a plate... and its gonna be 3-4 weeks before i can. oh well, guess good things come to those who wait, lol.

Spend the time cleaning it. I know that the paint itself is killer, and doesn't seen to need any special care ( claying ) but the engine bay could use some TLC, and if your really bored, detail the wheelwells and underbody.

It looks like you have one of the best catback systems on it too. GMMG. I bet it sounds killer.

Working hours like that I would rather kick back and chill in my free time lol.
But as far as cleaning, eh, I will say that I, my father, and everyone else I've ever known uses simple green to de-greese their engine bays. Spray it on, let it sit, hose off.... But you didn't hear it from me, b/c it seems like everyone on the interweb thinks that its going to eat a hole in your block or something....
