I'm having some trouble with my car fouling the passenger side plugs and causing the 02 sensor to go bad. Anyone in the UK have the capability to scan and possibly fix what is wrong with my car?

mods:
02 Z-28, !MAF,!CAGS, SLP Lid, stock headers and Y-pipe, LM exhaust

Yea, there are a couple of us. I would mostly say military stationed overseas such as myself here in the UK and in Germany.

If you got time check on SCT Comes to Germany (http://forums.mightymustangs.net/index.php?showtopic=9294) and go in the announcement section. We are getting ready to have SCT come over and tune 30+ cars on the dyno in a few months.

You do get the occasional girl whistling, a lot of people do turn and stare. A lot of women dont care about cars, not many will cream over the car. Anyway i wont go into details......

I'm in the South of England in Hampshire, If you are local I have scanning software on the laptop I will be happy to take a look.

Well I have autotap but all that shows me is the 02 sensor going dead. Does it display injector output or anything like that?

I'm in the UK as well, Mildenhall. Dark Blue 2002 WS6. I have the EFI Live software, but I'm not sure if I can register your VIN as well. There is a company at Siverstone raceway that knows a ton about LS1's. They had a lot of Holden cars setting around when I stopped and talked to them.

Check under the Vauxhall Monaro tab.... same as a Pontiac GTO.

I just may hold off until I ship the car in less than 3 weeks. I get my new Bosch 13111's in the mail next week and I'm going to pull the injectors to take a look at them and I'm also swapping the coil packs around to see if that does anything. I'm going to call them anyways and see how much it would cost for them to look at it regardless, if its within my budget I just may take it over there and see what they think. Thanks for the info.

Mmmm, not too many 4th gen. Ls1's
And even less WS6's
And even very less WS6 convertibles !
But they do attract a whole load of attention.
I have driven a full 12 months with no front numberplate, and the cop's just look at the car, and somehow, don't realise, or care that there is no front plate.
I have it under my seat though, just to throw on the dash if the worst comes to the worst.
Anyway, without a front plate, the overhead mororway laser tripod speed cam's can't get you.
Just incase you were a little over the speed limit.

I also could do with gettin my car tuned, but not till after i get a cam in a couple of months!
Just don't trust any of the local backstreet speedshops to do it!

Iim sure Bauer Millet will do it for you, they are up your end of the country. I dont know how much they would charge. I use them for parts. At least if they need a part for the cam install I expect they have it in stock. They know these engines, I wouldn't let any garage change a cam.

Possibly but they are quite pricey!don't know if they would do a cam install they couldn't do my headers! They were nice about it, so i had to do the install myself! but wouldn't want to drive it too far to get tuned Baur & Millet are about 30mins away! 16miles!

Thanks :O)
Further south, about 10 miles north of Portsmouth. Have driven it to Cambrige a couple of times. Have done a little more to the engine bay, need to put some more photos on the site.

Was just a thought, I have only used them for new parts. Hopefully you will find someone to do a cam install. Good luck.

Hi Andy here Z28 owner Swindon Uk.

Nice web page. Did you catch that Skyline he got a holeshot on you!

What does you car run?

This is my second 4 th gen Camaro I had a 95 Z28 before this one and that was pretty good but this LS1 is awsome! :hail:

I haven't been to the drag strip yet. I mostly race a Shakespeare County Raceway

http://www.shakespearecountyraceway.com/events/

Theres a good meet there in May for American cars only RWYB

I may be there this Sunday or Monday Easter weekend as it's RWYB on both days with the ACW SRS series on the Sunday and a Yank V Jap shootout on the Monday.

I have just installed a 125hp Nos kit and I am hoping to get my High Stall TC in this Friday.

Cheers Andy

Any tuners in the UK?

I might try to get there on Monday if its on then cos im off to Donington Sunday for max power show.
I had a problem with my car having missfire on piston 3 & O2 sensor codes on bank 1 . changed head, valves, plug injector, coil etc & still same. Checked continuity with wire from computer to coil, coil to plug & it was fine so put it down to computer.Got mate Rocky at contemorary corvettes, Pensilvania to send me new computer, took it to place in Wolverhampton who had tech 2 with leads to lap top who downloaded info off my old computer + updates & guess what!! same code & missfire. After 3 hours garage doing same checks as me could not find anything then in a fit of temper i tugged at wiring harness & hey presto started working & its been ok since. Its cost me about £600 to sort out a problem that turned out to be a wire that has rubbed somewhere behind the head in the harness, this i have heard is a common problem on these as the plastic clip that holds the harness to the head near the computer is very tight & when the engine rocks from idling the wires rub together causing them to arc which then throws up a service engine light & missfire code, this also shows up on tech 2 graph.
So far i have not had anymore problems. My mate has a tech 2 but we are in the midlands & i dont know what he would charge to read you computer.I only have a actron code reader.I also suscribe to ALLDATA.COM which tells you all you need to know about your car

I sure did catch him. You hear it on the video, the comentater mentions it. I had him by a car length at the line, it was close, but my car was stock. That was an old run way, not much in the way of grip, best run was 14.2, dont forget, no traction there, my best time was pulling away in 2nd gear. Not going to let it be that close again, done a few bolt on mods, just been out tuning again tonight, will do some more tommorow night as got a few long drives to do over the weekend.

I dont know if i will do any serious drag strip stuff, I use my car every day. However I would't mind taking it down a proper drag strip just to see what it can do now.
