Tested my fuel solenoid
I started the car let it idle, activated it, the fuel sprayed out for 2-3 seconds and stopped, try again right after and nothing
Is this normal, if not how long should solenoid last

no not normal the fuel solenoids last a long *** time compared to the nitrous ones I'd say at least a year at least with moderate use

Chances are thats what melted your plugs and took out the head gasket. Did you try openeing to solenoid to inspect it? You don't need a solenoid wrench to do it, just use the nut from the N2O solenoid and double nut the threads at the top of the stem and remove it.
Matt
EDIT: Sounds more like an intermittent electrical issue, but you can still check your plunger.

Since it's working intermittently I don't think it would be an issue with the piston, but it never hurts to check it out anyway. You can disassemble the solenoid like Matt said, by double nutting the tower.
It sounds like an electrical issue. You might start with going ever all of the wiring to make sure all of the connections and grounds are good. Also check the all of the switches. If you have a volt meter or amp meter you can check the power draw at the switches, relay, and solenoids to make sure they are not shorting out and drawing too much power.

I had a problem once with my kit. It was pulsing but it would always pulse. It never just stopped spraying completely. Mine ended up being the FPSS being set incorrectly. I had a wet kit. Like NXJeremy said, I would check my grounds and such.

Ummm....... I would have someone get a meter on it while you are spraying it and make sure that you are getting the voltage and amperage that you need for the solenoid. It sounds as if it is most likely a voltage or amperage supply issue. These are places to start checking -
Where is your power sourced from?
Are you supplying power from a relay or a tapped source such as the fuse box?
Do you have good secure grounds?
Is all the wire gauging close? In other words don't go from a 10 gauge to a 16 gauge and then back up to a 10 gauge.
Are all of the connections (Butt connectors, solder whatever well connected?
Are the grounds getting hot after you acivate the solenoid?
Is the correct amount of voltage and amperage getting to it the entire time it is activated?
According to N.O.S. their smaller solonoids draw the following amperage -
Super Powershot solenoid (Fuel) -12v/1.6 amps.
Super Powershot solenoid (N2O) -12v/8.6 amps.
Hope this helps and let us know what you find.

If you have a fuel pressure safety switch and you are trying this test with the engine OFF the fuel pump is only going to run for a few seconds and then turn off until the engine cranked and/or started.
Just a thought.

I forgot about the FPSS. As some of the other guys have already said, if you are using a FPSS you should check it to make sure it's set correctly and operating the way it should. Those things can be a pain sometimes and people usually don't think about them.

I don't have a FPSS, I'll try checking the voltage going to the solenoid, but it's weird it's been working fine for the past 6 months and now this?
Thanks for the help guys!!!

I wont say told you so...but I told you so. I can guarantee you its also the fuel plunger that is SWELLED. Been there done that. Take the noid apart and replace the plunger problem solved. Also fuel noids will NOT last NEARLY as long as the nitrous noids. More additives are being added to fuels everyday to satisfy EPA requirements. Unfortunately many of these additives are not compatible with our fuel noid plungers....This is why I preach the value of an AFR gauge. The digital displays are the best.
