Default How are you mounting shift light (T/A)

Well I went to install my raptor shift light in my trans am today and had a hard time figuring out how to mount it. I want to put it in the defroster vent but cant figure a way to mount it and angle it right. I don’t want it facing away from me as it would kind of defeat the purpose. also what are you guys doing with the black heater tube that was connected to the vent. Dose anyone have pics and tips on how they mounted them? This is really agrivating me and i cant stop thinking about it.

Another vote for the defrost vent. I just cut the plastic that was in the way, put a grommet in the vent hole, and slid the shift light into the grommet. Doesn't move and looks clean. (I also have the raptor btw)

Left a/c vent for my T/A, center a/c vents for my Camaro.

On my T/A I just popped off the bezel around the gauges, with the lower panel out already and put velcro inside the vent "barrel" and pushed the bezel back in.
When I was taking out the bezel I could not get it all the way out, but just enough so I could work around it to put the shiftlight in.

Peace,
Craig.

I've got it mounted in the hole where the fog light switch is. Fits pretty nicely into one of the spare holes. You just have to take your Camaro cover off.

I'll try to get some pics up soon.

Which shiftlight do you have? Because as long as you have a Harlan or Raptor it will fit in the left vent and you can still use the left vent just fine, mine does.
The pic above that silvernblackcamaro posted with the shiftlight in the left vent of his Camaro is similar, but it looks like he has an Autometer shiftlight which looks like it blocked the air vent comlpetely. Harlan or Raptor will not even come close to the size of that shiftlight.

Peace,
Craig.
