Default Change parking lights TA 1999

Hello.

I'm from germany.
I own a TA 1999 WS6 in pewter.
My left parking light(?) doesn't work.
Indicator light is still working, but not the light-function on the driver's side.

I added an image. The orange light which is glowing is the one with the problem.

But there are no screws or sth. like that.
Do I have to take THE WHOLE FRONT OFF the car?

I hope there is a trick to change this light.
And what bulb do I need then?? H4, H7, or which one is it?

I looked under the car, if there is some kind of plastic attachment to take off, but I was wrong.

PLEASE HELP.
In germany you can't find people who know this car, as you can imagine..

Thanks in advance..

Default Okay

Thank you for the links..
But maybe my question was misunderstandable.

I don't need reasons, WHY the bulb is damaged.
I need exact information about HOW I could easily replace it.

Please help me.Pics and point after point "walkthrough" would be great!

Takes a little practice but yea, that's what I did too.

Yep take the screws out of the trap door, pull it down, and remove the bulb.
Good luck

If you have skinny arms, you can reach right up in there from the vent underneath. You have to twist the light housing since it has notches, and pull it up and out. Getting it back in was the hardest part for me.

My dealership replaced the ENTIRE housing under warranty, and made me pay a $120 deductable (extended, wear and tear or some BS). I said !@#$ that when the other side went and bought the housing online for $30. (keep in mind I had several months of LS1Tech reading under my belt by the time the other one went and was much wiser to my cars in's and out's) When I got it, I realised it was a plastic housing with no bulb. I was completely ignorant to the entire issue and thought that entire piece was the bulb since they had done what they did. I hadn't had the car for more than a few weeks at the time.

I really want to go back and make someone eat teeth, but lesson learned.

I went with white bulbs this time. Looks much better

As far as it going out all the time, it's water I think. People say you can drill holes to let the water seep out, but I don't know where/how to even begin. The bulbs are only 4$ for 2 and take a few minutes to replace. I'll leave it be.

Default Thanks

Thank you..

Result: Bulb looks okay, but the socket looks HORRIBLE!!
So it looks like the typical TA problem.

Does anybody know, where to get the mounting (socket) for
my problem? (And how much $$$ ?)
I don't have any part numbers or sth. like that.
TA 1999.

Thanks again!!

Yep, the moisture and water of the rain gets into the housing that screws up the bulb or socket...bad design in keeping water out...
