Who Here DDs their LS1?
Just like the title says. I'm looking at a 02 Z28 M6 and if I get it I'll have to DD it since it will be my only car. Is it a bad thing if I do? I don't really want to but I got no choice

I DD my car and love/hate it. Love the fact that it is one of the baddest cars on the road, hate it because using it as a DD is killing it. Used my WS6 as a DD also. Go for it!

You need a Designated Driver if you get a Z28? I'm not real close to your location otherwise I'd offer to drive it for ya.
In all seriousness, why would it be a problem. It is definetlly not the most practical vehicle on the planet, but then again, I'm sure thats not why you're looking at it. You'd be amazed how much lumber I've fit into a 4th gen before.
If you don't NEED tons of room like a Truck/Suburban type vehicle, and you like it, then do it. Its a car that was meant to be driven.

UMMM its a freaking Camaro, its not going to be worth anything for another 30 years so unless your going for an all out show car its a great DD. It gets decent gas mileage is EXTREMELY reliable and is fun to drive.
The ONLY thing to consider is one the mod budget is ridiculous and two if you have alot of stop and go traffic the M6 for some folks can get old. Personally I love it, I think if your looking at 2 door Pony cars the 4th gen F-body is as good as it gets for a DD.

Daily driver LS1 is fine. I use mine for a daily. In fact, whenever I don't have it, I wish that I did. Mustangs, Vipers, rice trash all want to race when I don't have the T/A but when I have it, LOOK OUT!

I dailied mine for 2 years and a year of that was with a big cam and heads package. then I decided it would be more fun to chop it the **** up. And right now at the present time, I am REALLY glad I did that. For some reason when you gut a car and fill it with a bunch of sheetmetal and a whole bunch of monkey bars and make it a niche market car, it REALLY hard to sell. Especially when there isnt a motor in it.

I have daily driven all of my F-bods (about 10) including my current '02 T/A. The only time it is a bitch is when there is a lil snow on the ground (2-3x a year in my area) but otherwise, I love it. Beats the hell outta driving some Japanese 4-banger everyday IMHO.

Like Ellis said, I've got almost 150k on my Lt1 and I'm loving every minute of it.. Why get a car if your not going to drive it? Just take care of it and it will take care of you.
The only downfall to it is the gas prices now-a-days...

It all depends on how far you go with the mods, and how much you're willing to take on a daily basis. Me, I could probably handle driving my Z28 for a few days to and from work... but with the traffic I have to deal with (I work 8-5, and have to drive 405 through the eastside), it'd get old real quick. Also, the ride is kidney-jarring. But then again, it's because of what I did to the car. If it were stock, I'd have no problems driving it every day.
I'll take my Impala any day as a comfy sit-in-traffic car.

Cars are meant to be driven. It's only a Camaro.
I've considered getting some 4cyl beater for gas mileage but it'd be a waste to have the Cobra sitting in the garage ... might as well make use of it right? It's no show car.
I didn't buy a 500rwhp car to never drive it.
