How many rear ends have you gone through?
Sorry if this is the wrong area to post in but it seems like the most reasonable being more of a question rather than looking for tech help, and I don't think I've seen any polls similar to this. I hear that the stock 10 bolt rear end is weak in f-bodies and was just actually wondering how many people had problems with it.
P.S I heard of somebody going through 6.
Oh and another P.S if you have blown more than 1 reply with whether it was on the street or at the track, thank you.

its not weak by any means. its not good for pulling the front tires off of the ground weekely. when the average person on here says "weaK" they mean they cant put 600hp through it.
iv seen cars run low tens on the stock 10bolt, and iv seen them blow up on a low 12 second car, it just depends how you treat it. what are you plans/mods for your car

Not sure yet I just want to settle that I can do some mild modding, full exhaust, and some tuning then later down the road probably a cam then that'll be it. I don't really plan to take it to the track all the time as well I also don't launch my car/dump the clutch.
The guy who went through 6 I heard was near stock, nothing near 500hp or anything which is why I just wanted to see some general numbers.

I almost went through one. I chewed up my pinion bearing pretty bad trying to show off for some Hottiiiiiees. I did like three doughnuts right after starting the car. Pretty stupid, but thats what girls do to me.

Mine started leaking fluid at about 50,000. The carrier broke at about 100,000. It saw about 25 passes on the track only with street tires. All I had was a choke master muffler, whisper air lid, granny MAF and HPP3. I never changed the fluid in it Now, I'm on my second 10 bolt. Will she see 150,000? Place your bets!

I snapped an Axel on my 98 V6 Camaro, but the SS has put a pounding on my 10 bolt. I did remove the original 3.42 rear and replace it with an SLP Rear end with 4.10's from a friend's car.
