Exclamation Rental Car Super Mishap

Well my T/A had been in the shop for quite some while...i got it back for a weekend and put it back in the shop cause they @#$*&'d up...so they gave me a rental car...Unfortunately...the second week I had it, I was going to Columbia, SC and was going too fast for a offramp that i was not familiar with...The chevy cobalt came to introduce itself with a curbed median (hate those) that i did not see in time...in addition...it was raining hard and when i pulled away out of instinct, i just slid right into it....

Good thing I paid for the insurance earlier that day...The rim wasn't only bent to H3LL but it actually tore the brake caliper in half and halfway seperated the wheel from the axle...lets just say...the doughnut in the trunk wasn't an option....

ouch, did you lose control very much after you hit it? or did it just drag you to a stop?

When it hit the curb, it just pretty much stopped...however...I'm stubborn and tried to drive it off the curb...it was a success but, wasn't able to put the doughnut on anyway....the hubcap was in 6 pieces...

I had a loaner focus a few years ago when my truck was on order. Seems that the rally car jump over railroad tracks isnt suited for a shitty unibody car. We had that thing 3 feet in the air and about 60 feet in length. Problem was that when it was taken back the front two doors didnt shut and the front wheels were ovals. They really didnt like to hear that I canceled my insurance when I traded the old truck in. I was waiting to get the new truck to reinstate it Score one for me and $6500 for them.
