So it would be ticket loud huh? Sounds good to me. Since the LM is straight through then no muffler would sound similiar to a LM. I cant find any clips of a stock LS1 with no muffler anywhere. I have the straigh pipe with a cat set up on my 350 pickup and its deep but since the LS1 is aluminum I know it doesnt sound like that.

As long as you bring a pipe back from the y-pipe and bring it all the way to the rear bumper with some tips, it should sound like SLP LM. My car is pretty much stock with the LM on and it is loud and sounds pretty good.

Thanks. I plan to do bring it out to the back, its not my everyday driver. I have done that with my other V8s and im satisfied with them.

I've gone !muffler with cats on my other 2 LS1s. Sounded decent IMO. However, I like my current setup with the stock catback. It's still quiet when the cutout is closed, but pretty loud when it's open. I'm just waiting a little while before I do TDs with 1-chambers again

I fired mine up with LT's and catted ypipe, it sounded cool from outside the car but inside there was an unacceptable level of drone and vibration. Use some mufflers!
