Default Katech Tensioner Questions

Anyone have one or used one? They seem to be adjustable... they aren't spring loaded? Any info would be great since my car has started throwing the belt

I called Katech, but all their tech guys are at the Corvetter Bash!

Is the belt walking off? You could always try a "larry" pulley from Thunder Racing. Did the trick for me and it's only $65. It's just a new tensioner pulley with a lip.

It did it for the first time last night... I stabbed the gas to about 5800 and pushed in the clutch to coast out... the belt was gone before it I got 50 yards???

It was just a quick blip... I couldn't help it I need to replace the O2s and she'll be down for a checkup. Car runs better than it did last summer, by a long shot, if I remember right the tune that is in it now was on the rich side.

They are not spring loaded. Simply install the belt, put 25 lb-ft of tension on it and tighten the locking bolt. We have a new design being assembled now.
