Do plugs and wires, along with running some fuel injector cleaner threw it :) My friends LT1 was slow as shit when he first got it, well, slow for a lt1, but he had plugs and wires put on it, along wit hthe fuel injector cleaner, and it runs great now.

Its an LT1, its ALWAYS sluggish, :jest:
Changing plugs and wires is a must. I changed mine at 100k and the car ran a hell of alot smoother afterwards. Run some Seafoam through it before you change em out though.
Dosent hurt to check the filter either. Hell, just get a k&n drop in.

Start with the basics, check fuel pressure, put a vacuum gauge on it the readings should be steady between 14" and 22" HG. Also try and find/borrow a scan tool to see how she is doing ecm/sensor wise.
Timing is probably off, but give it a full tune up complete with all filters and fluids can't hurt.
I'm sure it just needs a little maintenance and it will run fine.

What is seafoam???
Here's (http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUpTechGas.htm) some information straight from them.
This (http://members.nuvox.net/~on.roz/cars/z28/seafoam.html) is an excellent write-up on how to use it.

Sounds like it just needs a tune-up man! Plugs/wires (pull the y-pipe to get at the plugs.. you'll thank me), fuel filter, air filter, etc.
