is there such thing as lower compression headgasket on a LS1?

Default is there such thing as lower compression headgasket on a LS1?

i know imports have them for sale that lower their compression like a half point at the most, but can u get a thick headgasket for an LS1? does it excist?

yes cometic sells them from thicknesses to .054-.125"

I have been told they have some problems..now that i think of it, my friend had one installed and had problems with it also..

i guess you could put them on but thats a lot of work to take off the heads and change the gaskets just for a little bit less compression... unless you are changing the heads already??

if i change the gasket it would mean im puttin on patriot stage 2 6.0L heads

If you want to use the cometic gaskets to lower compression, I wouldn't go bigger than .073 (or whatever size it is). After that, you're really hurting quench. I've never had a problem with my cometic gaskets, even after reusing them 3 times.
