Angry Congratulations Houston Texans

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/3828229.html

Congratulations. You had your choice of two of the most amazing offensive prospects in recent memory and you decided to take a defensive end. Proof positive that Charlie Casserly should have lost his job with Capers. Morons.

In all honesty, I hope Williams becomes a dominant player in the league, but every time Vince or Reggie score a TD, Casserly should get a kick in the *****.

oh well. Maybe they didn't like the demands or price of the other two guys that were in the running. I'm sure there has to be a good reason, probably stuff we and the media aren't privy to.

I do wonder how much (if at all) all this stuff about Bush's parents living rent free in a $700K home factored into it. The Texans are really big on the "men of character" image, so if there were some questions about Bush's ethics, that might have played a factor.

Good point. I also have to think that the other two guys will probably take this as a HUGE ego blow if they aren't first picked. This guy seems more humble than the other two.

I just couldn't see Bush coming to the Texans for some reason. Not that he wouldn't have made a difference, he would have no doubt. But for how long, before getting battered and bewildered like Carr did

Mario Williams is now the Sam Bowie of the NFL, congrats Texans!

I was born and raised a Cowboys fan but have shared my fan-hood and sat through miserable Texans seasons and the most recent 2-14 champaign... all for them to pass up on two explosive prospects. I guess they're hoping to lose by less next year. Casserly is a dumbass and is a lame duck as he already knows he has a job in the NFL front office... he could care less about this pick and the future of the Texans. Thank god for the Cowboys.

With slick moves like this Texan fans can enjoy another 2-14 year, but at least you can see Texas' oops I mean Americas team in the super bowl this year!

Go Pokes!

Ladies and gentlemen, your Houston Texans, an outfit that might do better were Mr. Magoo executing its lottery selections. Hand out the darts, folks, and take cover. Even quarterback David Carr, throwing from his back, which is where he has been for most of his four seasons in Houston, has better aim than his bosses.

lets go cowboys!! well, just as long as bill parcells has some damn ***** to call plays and score more than 10 pts a game and quit kicking field goals then yeah we should be pretty damn good. we still need another young explosive WR..

Does anybody realize that the texans aquired some offense in the offseason, I wanted Bush too but what are you going to do. The Texans are going to do better, and I'm going to laugh when the Texans beat the Cowboys and shock everybody.

Well Mel Kiper did state that in any other year Williams would be the No.1 pick, but Bush is an exception to the rule. I know that reports are saying that Bush and the Texans couldn't come to a financial agreement. This does make for an interesting first round to say the least, I don't think the Texans will be as bad as last year. There new scheme is said to be very difficult and they are moving to a 4-3 D, which makes me wonder what happens to Babin at OLB. I am a Cowboys fan and hope they are more gutsy but Parcells never has been, and we fans do have to thank Houston now we have that sorry *** Chris Palmer here.

One Bush is enough for Texas we don't need another one !!!

I like what Michael irvin had to say on this:

"Yes Mario Williams may turn out to be a very good player, like Patrick Ewing did, but when a player like Reggie Bush is there for ya who is Michael Jordan you DON'T PICK PATRICK EWING OVER MICHAEL JORDAN!"
"Ewing's a good player, but Jordan's a great player!"

I have to agree 100%

The Texans could end up last place forever and I wouldn't root for the cowboys. I can't stand that team or its owner. My favorite team is whoever the cowboys are playing that week.

I agree, The TEXANS SUCK. But bringing bush in wasn`t the answer. He isn`t big enough to be a full time back. Maybe a 3rd down, or reciever out of the back field. A return man also. But thats it. He had some great games last year against some sorry West coast teams and everyone thinks he`s great!! ESPN built his image for him. Next, everyone loved williams. Now that someone pick other than there choice for number one is a ***! Go figure. Even if they would have chosen Vince-Everyone outside of Texas would have laughed. Me, I would have chosen Vince. The guy is a leader and can dominate a game at any moment. Plan sweet! So go figure. I don`t know what they are planning.
Things are changing, Give them a chance. I like both Dallas and the Texans! Lets play some football!!!

USC played teams last year with some really shitty defen. Anyone could have run around on them. Now if you want to talk about numbers. Vince only played 4-5 full games-came out after the first drive in the 3rd. think of the numbers if he would have had if he played the whole game. Bush did!
