The first is an '03 427 Z06 with a custom Vortech system using a YSI head unit.
The second is an 03 Z06 with a 402 LS2 based stroker with the same Vortech YSI trim head unit and a custom system.
Both have small cams for driveability.
Quoted from another site about these cars...
The second is an 03 Z06 with a 402 LS2 based stroker with the same Vortech YSI trim head unit and a custom system.

Both cars were between 12 and 13# of boost.
Both cars are running 91 Octane California crap gas with NO Torco or similar octane boosters.
Both have ECS Methanol injection systems, but we're just spraying a little on top for safety. The 402 made 785 with no methanol at all.
The 427 has a Lingenfelter in tank pump with a KB BAP and a 98 style return system. (We retrofitted it) I really have no idea why it's holding fuel pressure. By all accounts it should need a better fuel system.
It has an 8" balancer and a 3.33 pulley.
It ha a 232-236 cam with AFR 225 heads running about 9 1/2:1 compression.
The 402 has the ECS fuel system and fuel rails. It has a 228-232 cam with ETP 225 heads running about 9.7:1 compression.
Both cars are back looking for more already.
The 427 is getting a 3.12 pulley. ( And probably a new fuel system)
The 402 is getting the 8" balancer and a FAST 90 MM manifold with our ported LS2 throttle body.
The 402 will probably make what the 427 is making right now.
We'll see what the 427 does.

We should have a local daily driver D1 Mustang hit 900-950rwhp soon. Thats with meth, and some giggle juice. Should be pretty nice.
Great numbers. More then I have so I gotta give you 2 thumbs up!

I really like the YSi-Trim head units too, they seem to be a lot less lazy on the low end than the YS-trims. We dyno'ed my Neice's car last weekend, SN95 mustang with a 331" dart motor, fairly small heads and a 232/240 solid roller, it did 770 RWHP and 620 RWTQ on pump gas/meth, through a 5-speed. Lots of fun on the street, you can get on it and it doesn't blow the tires away because it doesn't make too much low end torque ("only" 430 RWTQ at 3500) and peaks at about 7000 so you get a ton of powerband.
