Default who drives their Aerospace/Strange brakes on the street alot?

I am looking at doing drag brakes, either aerospace or strange all 4 corners.

I did a nice search obviously and found some good opinions/reviews on both brands but not anybody other than one or two people that said much about their street use of these brakes.

My camaro is not a daily driver obviously but on weekends when its out it sees whatever it sees..stop and go traffic on the way to shows, etc..normal chicago suburban crap like any other car would see.

I'm maybe leaning towards aerospace from what I've read, less money and seem to work well for everyone that says they use 'em.

comments, thoughts, suggestions? Thanks folks. from what i found in search looks like weight difference is nothing between the two brands, save like 95 lbs off the car with either strange or aerospace.

I've been wondering the same exact thing.. I've got the Aerospace drag brakes up front and stock brakes in the rear, but I haven't gotten the car running yet. I think they will be fine, but I would like to hear some first hand stories..

I have heard that the Strange brakes are a good bit lighter since they come with a whole new spindle setup. But, for the money I think the Aerospace setup is just fine..

Look no further! I daily drive my aerospace "race" front brakes 90+ miles a day EVERYDAY. This is my only car and the brakes are GREAT. No problems at all. My friend that had the before said you do get some fade if you do a few highway runs back to back though. I don't race on the street so i haven't felt anything. I'll get on it every once in a while and they stop great.
Only thing is MAKE SURE you tighten the bolt that holds the brake pads in. I put loctite on mine cause i had one nut fall out (my fault it was only finger tight) and a brake pad bound out.

Have heard several stories about the aerospace calipers locking up. That is why MADMAN won't run them anymore. Hopefully you have good results though.

A fair amount of street driving on the Aerospace brakes - they work very well with little fade. I don't drive like a maniac with them, but I can tell you that they have worked well so far.

All Aerospace stuff I have run has given me problems. I have had numerous problems with the calipers. Brady has also had problems with them also. If you are going to buy brakes get the Strange. I have them in stock and so does Billingsley.

No probs here.......

The Strange kit knocks of 50lbs vs Aerospace 30lbs
But then again the Strange front kit costs more than the front/rear Aerospace

How much for just the Strange front brake kit with no spindles or do you have to use the spindles?

Thanks for the comments guys.. I will only be on the street 3-4 times per month and probably won't even put 2-300 miles on it per month. Hopefully it will be a-ok..

Where can you get the replacement pads for the Aerospace front kit?

What I love about the internet is that people ask opinions and get GOOD answers from 2 professionals and still make bad decisions!!

lol.. I'm only running them because they were on the car when I bought it. For the little bit that they will be on the street they should be fine.
