Cartek level 7 here 6600 RPM sidesteps doesn't even flinch, no burnt clutch smell, and perfectly streetable. Buy it and dont look back.

I have a Cartek also. Seeing all the problems people have had with Spec is enough to stay away.

I had a Cartek back in the day when they came out and it took 15k of N2O abuse. 150 and 200 shots every weekend. Was a damn good clutch until the end. id get a Cartek over a Spec ANY day.

I have a spec 3 plus and it has a 150 miles on it chatters the slightest bit but i need to rebleed my clutch its engaging realy high. i think people with bad specs could be from installation error or not properly bled and not clamping on the disc causing it to basicaly ride the clutch to redline glazing the disc causing it to slip. so far though i have to say i love how it feels i just hope i have good luck with mine.

well my spec 4 just took a **** on me last week and I think I may go with a carteck now. It had 15k on it and it occasional beatings from the track and racing but not very often.

I had a spec 3, never again, they included the flywheel, but with my ceramic disc, it wore down that flywheel alot. also at higher rpm the clutch pedal would almost pop back instead of engaging normally, also when i pulled the disc, all but one of the springs in it were broken... IMO thats junk, so with this new motor im installing i went with a RAM HD.

Been beating on me Cartek since it we replaced it in June. I like it a lot better than the Spec I had in it previously. It's holding up good to the N2O so far.

i think its funny how almost every thread but 1 is against the spec but the spec has a better pole result lol .

Im either gonna go with the carteck or the tex it just depends on my future budget.

I have had CARTEK's old and now I have the new one. LOVE BOTH!

Consistently high performance and perfect street manners. The new one does not chatter at all.

I hot lap the ever living sh*t out of my car as long as the water temp is in line, leaving the line at 7000+RPM with consitent 1.45 - 1.40 60's. And I am slipping it out of the whole to keep the RPM up which would only heat the clutch mroe then dumping it. No smell, no slip! I barely tap the clutch when its time to shift, and if in on my game keep the foot firmly planted on the trottle. It has always shifted and launched well for me.

The old clutch lasted 3 years with nearly 200 passes including 30 or 40 on nitrous. The new clutch I have had for almost 2 years with 100 passes or so, once again without a probelm.

A costomer left CARTEK a few years back, and went with a Spec 4 thinking it was better. He claimed that he was never able to shift the car well again and is now a TH350.

i broke in my clutch it holds fine with my bolt ons and does chatter any more. i went with the spec because i was recomended it by alot of people but i think the cartek would also be a good choice you hear less bad reviews on cartek.
