Default Should I do it?

I am wanting to put a new exhaust system in my car(2000 WS6), and my two options are, 1. a Magnaflow Catback and TSP ORY ($560+S&H+O2 sensors which I forgot to add), or 2. Custom X-pipe by a local shop. ($500-570 range depending on muffler choice, thats a 2.5" X-pipe that goes all the way back over the axle, mufflers, and O2 sensors, and the labor obviously ).

So my question is which to do? I was planning on just buying the catback cause i have enough money now for that and then doing the headers and Y-pipe later when I get that money, but now I'm not sure. If I do the custom job, I will have to wait a while because I will have to buy and install the headers first, and then I won't have enough money for the rest yet(which also means I can't drive it until I have the money for the rest of the exhaust o_O).

So what do you think I should do? Is that a good price for a custom job? And if you think I should go the custom route, what muffler would you suggest, and why?

Thanks!!

PS, he said something about having to use one pipe on the driver's side because of some wire or something? Do you guys have any idea what he is talking about?

do you have headers? if so what kind? If your stock just get the cat back, also why do you need two o2 sensors? yours broke? You can tune out the rear ones, so you need a total of two, know how to solder? Then just extend the wires and save some cash.

Save up more money and get the custom true duals.

Here's another idea for you, go for the headers and ORY, keep the stock catback, and add a cut out, that way you get the option of going stealth (cutout closed) or roaring around (cutout open)

If I were to do it over I'd get some LT's, a Y-pipe, a cut out, and keep the stock cat back.

Doing it this way would gain you more performance than just an aftermarket cat back would and if you do the install yourself it won't really cost much more.

Well I don't really want a cut-out, I dont' know why, I just don't really want one. I am going to do one of these two. I kinda forgot about being able to turn off the SES light with a tune, and I'm going to do that after I get this done, so really its $560+S&H and me installing it, or $500-570 for the custom duals. I'm thinking I want to do the duals, what do you think I should get for mufflers?

Oh, and yes I'm going to get headers, I had just planned on getting them afterwards, not before, thats all. Thanks again for any help.
