Default Installed my Fuddle 4000

Threw it in last weekened.....the damn dowl pins on the tranny are a *****...and on one of the write ups they said there are 8 bellhousing bolts but its actually 7

Anyways 3.73s + 4000 stall kills street tires...

I need to get it tuned it hits the limiter 1-2 and 2-3 I think its a combo of wheel spin and the tune.

I will throw some drag radials on and take it to the track...

The car was going low 12s at 112 before the stall im hoping to retain MPH and get into high-mid 11s....shouldnt be a probblem.

4000 stall is VERY streetable...If I didnt have a 4cyl saturn that gets 30mpg I would daily drive this..obviously the exhaust is slightly louder because your running about 2500ish to take off with traffic...

I just wrote a full tranny tune...so I will throw it in the car later today or tomorrow and take it for a ride.

If anyone has any questions let me know.

yes, this i know, as well.

i have the same stall and gears, i was cutting mid 1.6 60' with the addition of a lid and LCAs, but was on the stock tune at time so your 11 sec timeslip will come in no time.

Well I finally got the thing shifting setting the shift points to 5300 its now shifting at 6100 lol...

It needs to be tweaked some more since im running the stock cam right now its way out of the power band by the time it shifts...

but damn the first time it nailed the 2-3 shift

Im very happy with the convertor I still have to mess around with the lock up stuff a bit it locks up 75% of the time...

Is it worth messing with tuning the stall if you plan on doing a cam within a month of the install? I am putting in all the bolt ons and a 4400 stall. Within the next month I will be putting in a TRex cam-should I just drive the stall untuned for a month and get it all done at once??

I got the Performance Series for now. However, I don't expect my tranny to last forever so I'll get a tougher one when this one takes a dump.

Hey mshadow, former Buffalonian here. Used to run Lancaster, Empire and Cayuga when we lived up there.
Have the same basic combo (Yank SS4000/3.73) as you. The M/T ET Street radials will cure your traction problems, except they will also take out your spider gears. Broke the spiders on a 1.60 wheels up launch on the 5th run with the 4000 converter. I'm surprised how well behaved this combo is on the street though.
