Anyone played around with any exotics???
I haven't had a chance to tangle with a Ferrari or anything, how about you guys? I was next to a new M3, and he very carefully stayed a car length back.

Raced several exotics in my old Cobra... lost against a 360 modena, from a roll. Raced a purple Diablo VT(vicious traction) from a dig, and lost(again, in my cobra).
However, redemption came not too long ago in my vette, against a yellow diablo....from a 25mph roll. I started directly behind him, at 25mph....1st gear roll..... (i had no working nitrous at the time)(and I had a passenger) ...at 175mph I had one corvette fender in front of him.....and he went to brakes. Awesome race, unforgettable. Soo happy I had a passenger to witness the life long dream takeing place. The devil like noise co ing from the diablo kinda made the expereince all the more better when I was driving around him.
It was awesome.
Raced and Beat a Bentely GT from a 15mph roll in supercharged CTS-V(makeing 460 rwhp)
Beat him until thrid gear..he went to brake with me and a fender out.
Another awesome time.

The best car I got to run with on the highway was an 05 Viper and I handed him his ***** back because he gave up above 140 mph. We were only about a car length apart but when I shifted into 5th at 135 mph he bagan to fade even though he didn't drop back immediately. My car pulls like a mule in 5th and 6th as long as you shift outta 4th at 6700 rpms. (rev limit set @ 6800, valvetrain can handle 8000 rpms) I stopped accelerating at 170 + and he was nowhere to be found. All of a sudden with me doing 75 mph he goes blowing by me. I give chase and catch up to him. We look at each other doing 130 or so, and I downshift to 5th and stand on it, samething happended as before the 05 viper just fell back even though he said he was on it to the floor. We pulled over and I looked under the hood only to find nothing wrong, so we scratched our heads and said I guess the vette won both times today. BTW the Viper had headers and a tune.

Well I dont think of a Viper as an exotic, but most of the time up here there in a garage for these guys who think there going to make money in 30 years. Anyway 2 summers ago at NED I raced a viper when I had my heads cams setup. I was running very low 12's at the time. Here comes the big black viper, owner is or was the sheriff of rockingham county. Oh my. So we set it up early on a friday night. Track was still good. I ran, guessing a 12.0 something and beat him by 5 hundreds. It was that close. Boy was he pissed. He said nobody pulls on me. I said I do. Great memory.

Hell yes a Viper counts, at least a domestic exotic. You don't see to many Vipers out on the street, let alone willing to race. They know if they lose they are *** out, nothing to say again ever. Nice Viper Kill story with the 10 lengths. I couldn't count the lengths I was ahead after stomping on it from 130 up to 170 + He was no longer in my rear view. That was why when he caught up I motioned for him to pull over. I couldn't find anything wrong under the hood of his car.

OK then... I got jumped by a 2001 Viper last fall. I did not react, had stereo to loud. He slows way down (2nd gear???) and waits for me. We bust it from 45mph-ish, all the way until I bounce the rev limiter (6900) in 4th. I was a little surprised; I simply drove off from him... Next exit at DQ we talk and he is all over me about my N2O system... I could not get him to stop talking about it... OR believe I was not running nitrous. He was not a car guy and had no mods. In retrospect I guess I am not that surprised...

Hey BrentC5 you are putting 671 supercharged hp to the wheel and only run
12.0 second qtrs???????????????????????????? How is that?????????? I run 11's on Factory run flats all day N/A. You hooking up at the line, or bad r/t or is it a combo of both. I wish I had your power. I'd be in the high 10's. I set my run flats to 25 psi and spin them for a second, (no real burnout) and they grab pretty good.
1.63 - 1.71 60 footers Hit me up allngn_c5@yahoo.com I'd like to hear more about your setup

You said you ran a 12.0 1/4 against a black Viper, The sheriff of Rockingham or something. 10's is damn good. FYI R/T does make a difference. Good R/T means the difference between being in the 11's or 12's. Sometimes winning and losing. I know that the first 60 ft is for most situations the race.

If you noticed I said that I dropped the tire pressure to 25 PSI. Had a very good track setup in Milan, MI. I can get 1.7 or less. Bobby at LGMotorsports is giving me the hook up on some lightweight chrome ZO6 wheels and the supercar tires 295 35ZR18 rears and 265 40ZR17 fronts.
Those rear tires with some practice ought to take a little bit off my 1/4's and drastically improve my handling on the street. I'll stick with the run flats for the higher speeds on the expressway. 170 + !! I can't wait until I have the money for this hood and spoiler pkg they want to do for me at Spectre Werkes in Troy, MI. It will create enough down force for me to safely run above 200. You can believe me or not, but when you feel the steering go real light, thats called front end lift. Been there done that.
