Default Hooker/Jet-Hot LT Install....HELP!!!!

I've been tryin to install the driver's side header for a while now. The only way I can get the header to the proper height is to remove the motor mount (both halves). But then I can't get the mount back on. Does anyone know any secrets. I'm at wits end! I've trie with mount on, can't get header on. I've tried with Half mount on, can't seem to get header on. Put header on, can't get mount on. I'm tired and sore now, and have gotten no where!!! Thanks in advance. Todd

no I haven't. This project is turning out to be as much trouble as the cam and valve spring swap was. Thanks, I take a look at doing that. Todd

I was able to get the driver side in by removing the sterring shaft and that aluminum piece above the O/F and jack the car up literally like 2 ft off the ground on eitehr side to allow the collector to drop down further and allowing more room to manuver the headers in i had mine in 15 min a side but jacking it up as high as i could on one side was the big diff and removing those couple other items really helped the sterring shaft is kinda a pain due to akward postions and having to use a 11mm short well at like 1 click of the ratchet at a time and fighting the loctite. Hope this helps, Tom

One otehr note you might knick up the headers a bit or the coating but it will be in un- noticable areas. but the real fun begins when you get them in and see the air tube mounts point in the wrong direction i had to clamp my air tubes ina vice and twist the tube to get the to work. and the Y pipe is another really funtime trying to hookthat up to the collectors and the rest of the exhaust.

LOL, the passenger side is easy. Just move the coil-pack out of the way so you can reach the manifold bolts.
