Default Tire opinions

I've got a hookup at Firestone, looking at getting a set of one of the following:

Potenza RE750
Firehawk Wide Oval
Fuzion ZRi

There's about a $150 difference between a set of the Fuzions and the Potenzas, with the Firehawks in the middle. I am not too worried about wet traction - I live in the desert. Are the Potenzas worth the extra money - is handling significantly better, and will they last much longer? This is my daily driver, but I only have a 5 miles commute, and get to the track occasionally.

Those Firehawks Wide Oval are better then G-Force KDW according to tirerack tests.

All of those tires are nice.

I would go with the Re-750s they are my DOT/street tires on my hatch and do great for me.

I have the ZRIs on the camaro and like them alot.

Firehawk wide oval is a good tire as well.

You can't really lose if you ask me, just pick what suits you best price range wise. If handling means alot *not just straight and hooking up* the potenzas are better then the ZRI I feel also a tad quieter. They also stay quieter when wearing.

Anything else just ask

You can throw in some g-force sports in there. They're pretty cheap and got good reviews. I think I will be ordering then next week unless I hear bad stuff.

Thats good to know...I think the KDW is kind of the benchmark for ultra high performance tires. Some people have said the new Firehawks are good, and others said not so good... so seeing the comparison on tirerack was nice. Thanks.

Thanks, thats kind of what I was thinking. Maybe I will get the Firehawks, they seem to be comparable to the Potenzas (if not better) and a bit cheaper, but not as cheap as the Fuzions so I wont feel like I just bought the cheapest ones I could.
