Signal ground (OBD pin 5) is one of the wires connected to the back of the driver’s side cylinder head. Chassis ground (OBD pin 4) is connected to an IP mounting stud behind the kick panel near the left A-pillar.

well it jumps quite a bit. I flatlined various voltages and the only voltage that wasnt jumping all over was 5V. When i input a AA battery into the EIO i get a steady 1.601V and the ouput of the LC1 is a steady .49 when i program it to flatline .499V. Im baffled really. Here is a log at .5V and 2.5V

my obd2 scanner doesnt scan my car, but will scan the family focus...
are the serial and chassis grounds both standard grounds or do they serve a function towards an obd2 scanner??? also where does the j1850 wire in the number 2 pin go?
