Default MAFT replacement ???

Has anyone ever tried one of these in place of a MAFT?
http://www.zzperformance.com/zzp/pro...e/mini_afc.htm
If it would do the same thing as the MAFT at about half the price. That would be cool.

I did email the maker. He said that it would work and he can put what ever connectors are needed on it. (Meaning Z06 MAF or stock)
Thanks in advance for your help.

I sent them an e-mail asking if they have a 30 day satisfaction period. If they do, I would be happy to order one and post my results ASAP. It sounds like a deal to me. I like the 1% increment variability.

Yes,

Please give us some info on this if you would. I'd be willing to buy one. As a matter of fact. i'll call/email the guy today and see if it works. If not, then I can use it on my moms GTP <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Zippy,

I just got off the phone with them and it does not have the dual settings like the MAFT. It has(as described to me) a sweeping set up. I guess that means you set it and it'll adjust to the change from idle to wide open throttle. The explaination was kind of hazy. Here is their number.

My e-mail:
I am interested in your plug in AF calibration device. Do you offer a 30 day satifaction guarantee? I would like to try it out in place of the common MAFTranslator for my 2000 V8 Camaro. Do you have an application for my camaro?

Response:
Our AFC should work fine on your car. We just need to know how many wires are on your MAF before we ship. Camaro's have 2 different connection types. We have a 30 day return policy with no restocking fees.

I don't know man..I was told that it had one setting on the phone and it didnt have the part throttle/wot setting like the maft. So it looks like it may be a wash.

1% increments sure would be much nicer than the 5% increments on the MAFT. But can it do 'base' and 'WOT' like a MAFT? That would be the deciding factor.
