Default new timing chain a MUST for new cam and heads?

what it says above..im putting together my list for my heads and cam swap..seeing where a new/possibly a double timing chain comes into play, if at all!

I would do a double roller or a ls2 chain and maybe a ported oil pump.

ls2 chain huh....and yeah same question for a ported oil pump...where can i score that and is it a MUST?

LS2 chain is good enough for the 427 C5-r I don't know why it wouldnt work for you.

ls2 chain is under 30 bucks. Good piece of mind. As for the oil pump, id leave it if the stocker has low miles.

I would, I got the Ls2 Timing chain, alot thicker. You figure you have everything apart, might as well change it.

ahh just the chain I see thanks,,,,,what about the new sprockets and all that ****...dont i need all of those new items, like a new double timing chain set....i dont understand what just the chain will do, is it the slack in the stock chain that pushes people to swap???

yes upgrade the timing chain. I broke a stock Ls6 chain at 45,000 miles not fun...
