Default Use stock LS6 lifters on new forged blown shortblock with new cam?

Planning for final build on my forged LS6 shortblock to be used with a brand new small blower cam and will be running 12 to 14 lbs of boost with my D1SC ATI blower, with my stock LS6 heads (upgraded springs of course) and will be seeing around 725rwhp and over 600rwtq.

Do you guys recommend on going with brand new aftermarket comp. lifters or save the $250.00 or so and reuse stock LS6 lifters from my stock motor that have 25K miles on them with my stock LS cam?

Thanks for the input!

Someone here with knowledge on this subject has to have an opinion on this. What are most doing for lifters on boosted applicatons making over 700rwhp on stock cubed motors or big HP on N/A h/c stock cubed motors for that matter?

If I had a big-money motor like that, I'd be using the Morel lifters

I do not know how much spring pressure you are running. The fact that your motor is boosted is not necessarily harder on the lifters. In fact most people short shift boosted motors because there is more torque than needed so you do not have to rev the **** out of the engine. The high rpms and high spring pressures with fast ramp rates on the cams are what causes lifter problems. If yours don't have a lot of miles they are probably fine. I would carefully inspect each one and forget about it.

You spent that much money on the motor, might as well put in some new lifters. I would just get a BRAND NEW set of stock lifters.

I agree with you 1000% except i believe my engine builder is recommending comp 850s, so will probably just follow the expert, LME's lead!

When I blew my motor 2 months ago, it has a set of 850-16 with 30K on them. But since all the internals were new except for the cam, I threw in a new set of 850's in there.
I figured I can use the old 850's in my vette when I put heads on since it won't be as radical.
