If you are talking about an LS1 engine then the stock metal GM gaskets are the best for sure.

I run Hooker(soft and thick) on the header side and GM on the head side. Works great for me!

I'd stick with the stock metal gaskets...have around 14k miles on mine. I used loctite on the threads of the bolts when I put them in, haven't had a problem, and the way my pipe bangs under the driver side, with that many hard impacts, and no problems, that's why I recommend that. Good luck.

Are the GM gaskets re-usable?

I have about a thousand miles on my hooker headers and I used the stock gasket no leaks and runs great.

Stock GM gaskets are great. Reusable too, so long as they're in good shape.

Stock GM Metal Gaskets for sure. You can reuse but its always better to replace. Less hasle down the road
