titanium retainers on backorder??

Default titanium retainers on backorder??

Is it true that comp. cams 772-16 titanium retainers for the 918 springs are on nationwide backorder?

I have not heard but why would anybody spend 230 bucks for ti retainers when you can get the whole PP Gold sprink kit for 255 and it comes with titaniumk retainers.

Not to mention titanium retainers really dont do much for ya utilizing the 918's. The retainers are small therefore going titanium only saves minimal weight anyway....

The 918 Ti retainers save .250 (1/4) lb over the stock chromoly retainers. Also the 918 Ti retainers save nearly a full pound over the 912 steel retainers. As critical as valvetrain weight is, that's a bunch.

How are you coming up with those values. I've weighed stock and the Ti retainers TR sells on a triple beam scale and the stock ones were 11 grams each and the Ti ones were 9 grams each.
