NEED IDEAS!! I need some help on what to do to my Auto Z28 I have had my 98 Z28 since January and basicly taken it apart and put it back together again. All i have on it are Flowmasters. I was going to order a lid and a K & N filter, and SLP headers but i have seen that for autos people say Torque converters, why is that and whats the best headers or tourqe converter?? HELP...NEED IDEAS!! <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

I have a M6 so i duno much about cnvertrs.
What headers are you looking for? Mid's, shorties, Longtubes? Do you need to pass smog?
I like the QTP, thunder, PPC headers.
SLP's are good, but i would stay away from them if your car is lowered, or if you plan on dropping it. They hang lower than other types.

Re: NEED IDEAS!! I need some help on what to do to my Auto Z28 I would do all the www.ls1.com and www.installuniversity.com free mods first. The lid and filter are a good start. What is your intent with the car? Is it a daily driver, a weekend street/strip car, etc.?

TNT 100 shot at the wheels
These are the ONLY mods he has with NO weight
reduction and he runs 12.2 on motor 11.5 on juice.

Seriously though, a converter and tires will waken up your car like you wouldn't believe. FWIW, you can get a good used nitrous kit for about $400. Best bang for the buck horsepower there is.
