I have also heard this! I have seen a magazine a few months back and they showed a project Camaro with the older front end, and stated that it would be in production by 2005 and out for sale by 2006. Who knows with all the talk going around and GM. I wont believe it until I see it for sale or at the auto show. The reason behind the Camaro and the T/A going out of production was they werent as popular as the rustang. GM's selling numbers werent up to there standards and that they were costing to much to make. Who knows if that is totally true, to me It's just an excuse.

It is a marketing sceme by GM to draw interest to a car, before it recieves a serious makeover. Look at the thunderbird and other examples of this. The Corvette wont go away becuse of the historical inportance of it, so next in line was us. You will see it come back and hopefully stronger then ever. We will create the 5th generation camaro's first web sight and start to crack the code on a new hot rod. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Re: Camaro coming back??
I was at the GM proving grounds recently and can vouch for some truth in this article. I did not see any type of Camaro though. The Corvettte is being revamped and is definately going to have more power (& 335's). The Impala SS with a RWD V-8 that I saw, looked like it rolled off the showroom floor. Definately not a hacked up, one off job.

Re: Camaro coming back??
There is a great deal of truth to the comback of the Camaro. I spoke to someone recently, works deep inside GM, and they are coming back, around 2005. The reason they let it die is because if Federal mandated side air bags, and the lack of GM to have a design ready for the Camaro that could implement the air bags, and whatever was about to become Federal requirements.
On the Vette, I'm told to look for a version not a whole lot different, looks wise, than the C5, but performance will be alot better. Coming from an aluminum version of the 6.0. Who knows what the Z06 will be. I just got smiles with that one.
Dont take all this as scripture. Just what I've been told.
