Default Bauer High Flow TB pics!, Finally

Here ya go, we have had problems with up loading the pics to the site, but here they are. <img src="http://www.lswon.com/upload/files/FB-Blue-1.jpg" alt=" - " /> <img src="http://www.lswon.com/upload/files/FB-Blue-2.jpg" alt=" - " /> <img src="http://www.lswon.com/upload/files/FB-Cleaned-Up.jpg" alt=" - " />

This is the new high flow version that has been standard on our TB's since early December. There are alot of happy customers out there with the new porting.

The top two are Navy Blue powdercoated but we have a large variety of colors available. I'll see if I can get some red pics up soon, that is by far the best looking color out there. The bottom pic is a TB that is just cleaned up on the outside and has the high flow porting on the intereior. We offer a burnish finish (think of the BG Deamon carb finish) for $10 more. Or you can go with the stealthy stock appearing look.

The flow modifications have gone into the radius of the TB mouth. The lip is rolled, and as you can see the epoxy is not just in the IAC and PCV area but speads out into the mouth of the TB. Care is taken to get the epoxy to stick there, but only the right process and epoxy can pull that off. We also have modifed the throttle shaft, and counter sink the plate bolts into the plate to achive less frontal area for the incoming air. Finally care is taken on the exit of the TB to achive a venturi through the throttle blade area.

Once the track opens up the SS will go back to see what kind of gains we get. Right now it's being tested in the winter of the north with great success. (yes the SS goes out in the bad stuff, I know bad me. Who else is going to test it?) Throttle response has imporved even more compared to the old porting and I think we can even see another .5-1mph gain the 1/4.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. If you would like to order please feel free to drop me a line @ bret@bauer-racing.com

Thanks,

Bret

Looks like you have the inlet bored out more or it has a much better taper than stock? I like that, stock has a pronounced ridge there.

Does that IAC epoxy setup help cars idle better?

I'll have to send mine out, perhaps this Saturday Bret.

The ridge on the MAF side edge of the TB needed some work and just cutting it away was not helping in the way I thought it would, so the epoxy was the answer (let's see if anyone copycats that)

The extra epoxy doesn't effect the IAC in anyway. I still have the same sized holes in there.

A C5 TB like above should help out the air demands of a big cube engine like yours alot.

If you are using a stock TB now, going to a higher flowing one should add 10hp, that would be my guess at the least.

Seeing the 1/4 mile gains that I see it equates to alot more than that (on less modified cars), but chassis dynos are not the be all end all and they don't have a extremly accurate repeatablity. Hell a Superflow engine dyno can get within 1% only if you do everything right.

I have one of Bret's "high flow" TB's sitting on my tool box waiting to be installed. The work is VERY high quality, I am positive his work will help push me to some sick #'s judging from the looks of it..

Hey Bret I will get with you soon about a ported tb. I finally got most of my mods done and I need a new TB. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I like that NBM it would look good with my silver intake. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Bret, I have one of the "old" styles from late September. Can you upgrade it? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
