Default Pics of Clear and Smoked Clear TSP Induction Lids!

As promised, here are the pictures of the clear and smoked clear TSP induction lids. I am currently out of stock on ALL of the lids, but I will be receiving a stocking order next week of clear, smoked clear, and black lids. I already have a list going of those that want to purchase a lid when I do receive more. SO, if you are wanting a lid, please send me an e-mail to trevor@texas-speed.com with your name and the type of lid that you're interested in purchasing. As soon as I receive the order, I will e-mail everyone to let y'all know that I have them in stock and ready to ship.

Smoked Clear Lid Without Filter

Clear Lid With Filter

Again, if you are wanting a lid, please e-mail me with your name and the type of lid you are wanting. I will not accept pre-payment for any lids since I do not have anything to ship yet. I will get all of the billing and shipping information once the order is placed. The black lid will be $89.99, and the clear and smoked clear lids will be $129.99. These are the introductory prices; normal pricing will be $109.99 and $149.99, respectively. I will post the cut-off date for the special pricing once I receive the shipment of lids.

We will have dyno results tomorrow, so look for a post on Saturday.

Thanks!

Here are the dyno results of our lid over a Whisper-style aftermarket lid. This was on my '02 SS heads/cam automatic. We made three baseline pulls with the Whisper-style lid and then swapped lids. All pulls were made at Modern Musclecar Technologies in Royse City, Texas, so feel free to give the owner, Sean Freese, a call if you want to verify that the pulls were legit. There were NOT any dyno tricks to get the numbers! All we did was swap air lids. You can also see that the a/f ratio was identical on both pulls, so the gains were not from leaning it out. It's a true 6+ RWHP at peak and 10+ RWHP at other RPM's!

Dyno Graph

FYI, we ended up with a best of 390 RWHP with an unlocked converter. We picked up 22 RWHP by locking the TCI 3800 converter. The SS also managed a 10.68 @ 125 MPH with a 1.466 60' later that night with an NX 100 shot.

Let me know if you have any questions. FYI, we are currently out of stock on ALL of the new lids, but we do hope to receive a stocking order later this week. If you would like to purchase one, just shoot me an e-mail with the type of lid you are interested in. Once I receive the order and have plenty ready to ship out, I will e-mail everyone on the list.

Thanks!

Trevor

Any idea when the chrome lids will be coming out?
What kind of gain should I expect on a 02Camaro SS, have the stock lid still.
thx

Louis - Yes, we're going to be trying it on a 6-speed, too. Theoretically, the gains should be higher with a heads/cam M6 vs. my heads/cam A4 since there is less drivetrain loss. We will have some other dyno numbers rolling in over the next few weeks, and these will be on various dynos on customer's cars. It will be great to see it on an M6-equipped car since they'll be able to start the dyno run at 2,000 RPM to show any possible gains down low. We also expect to have some numbers on an M6-equipped car that is pretty much bone stock.

Fugitive - The chrome version is still a few weeks off, but I will keep everyone posted as things progress.

Quick98SS - See my post above.

If you have e-mailed me to get on the list, then I have your information. You should have received a return e-mail from me. If not, please be patient. I'm checking my e-mail throughout the afternoon. I'm currently receiving 100+ e-mails a day, so it takes a little time to return them all. However, I WILL respond to every e-mail received!

Thanks!

Trevor

That clear smoked lid is bad *** and nice power too.

Like Louis pointed out, testing on your car just seems to cover only some of the variables. A lot of people will suspect that the Texas air had something to do with the gains, so you better send me an evaluation copy to test out in some Mid-Atlantic air.

I want to see the gains on a relatively stock car. My purchase will depend on that.

Normally they are choked by the horribly designed LS1 intake and the manifold. This lid obviously outflows the current aftermaket lids on a H/C car that needs more airflow. BUT, what can it do on a bolt-on LS1? I'm not paying $100+ for 2rwhp. Most likely the MTI lid that I currently have provided ample air for my stock heads/cam car. Make sense?

AND, not to speak negatively of this product, but one dyno graph means nothing in terms of it being a proven mod. It'll prove itself at the track, not on a dyno.

The special pricing of $89.99 for the black lids and $129.99 for the clear and smoked clear lids will be good through this Friday, March 14th. So long as you e-mail or call me by 6:00 pm CST on Friday, you will be able to get in on the special pricing. I should have some lids here by Thursday afternoon. As soon as they arrive, I will start calling and e-mailing those of you that are on my list. The regular price for the black lid will be $129, and the clear and smoked clear lids will be $149.

Thanks!

Trevor

Default Re: Pics of Clear and Smoked Clear TSP Induction Lids!

Thanks for the responses. The response has been OUTSTANDING! I have replied to every e-mail I have received, so please send another one if you have NOT received a response from me. We did receive an order yesterday, but all of those lids have been pre-sold. I am working down the waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis, and I will e-mail you when we have a lid ready to ship out to you. I really do appreciate everyone's patience. We are working hard to get everyone's order filled.

I would also like to stress that you WILL get the introductory price of $89.99 for the black lid and $129.99 for the clear and smoked clear lids so long as you contact me via e-mail or phone by today, March 14th at 6:00 pm. The cut-off date must begin sometime, so please get in touch with me if you would like in on the special pricing. I just need your name and/or e-mail address and the lid you are interested in purchasing. As soon as I have one in stock for you I will get in touch with you. You have under 6 hours to get in contact with me, so you'd better hurry!

The 85mm lids are coming along. I received a prototype yesterday, and the fitment looks great. The lid will be designed to slip over the MAF sensor just like our current lid slips over the stock MAF sensor. Pricing has not been set just yet, but I will post it soon, along with a pic of the lid connected to an 85mm MAF sensor.

We will be getting various dyno results over the next few weeks, so don't think that we're done with our testing. The cars will range from stock LS1's to bolt-on cars to another heads/cam car. These results will be on customers' cars across the nation and on different chassis dynos. I'm not sure what you consider "unaffiliated" with Texas Speed & Performance, but that's about as unbiased as you're going to get. We're not looking to lie about dyno results. We are wanting everyone to know exactly what they're purchasing and what they can expect. This lid will work better and better as you add more power to the engine.

Thank you to everyone for supporting us, and please be patient if you are waiting to receive an induction lid. It will be worth the wait.

Thanks!

As the air flows in, it is compressed more since it is funneled more than the other lids. The first lids just removed the baffles basically(with minor revisions) but this is a redesign to increase the velocity at which the air enters. It should benefit a stock engine in the same way as an h/c or s/c car. Smoother air flow and less turbulance is what its all about. I hope my logic is correct
p.s. i have the MTI lid and ordered T.S.P. lid today. I love the way it looks and beleive the numbers!! Thanks, Trevor

I just wanted to post up a thread that was started from a customer that bought one of our induction lids. He is in no way affiliated with Texas Speed & Performance, and I did not even know he had results until our mechanic Joseph stumbled upon it! He dropped over .2 and gained over 2.5 MPH from just a lid swap! You can read the post for yourself HERE. The MPH is a true indicator of horsepower.

FYI, we are working on a ram air kit similar to the SLP kit that will be made of plastic instead of aluminum (much less heat-soak), and it will weigh approximately 4 lbs. less, too. I will keep everyone posted on it.

Thanks!
