Default I need advice on launching.... BADLY!!

The car that I am talking about is in sig. Just so that everyone is sure, it is a 6 speed. I am running 275 nitto drags on 17 inch rims with 19 psi. I went to the track last night and here is my best run. 60...2.392
330...6.105
1/8...9.063
mph...84.26
1000...11.572
1/4...13.658
mph...108.53
I did a burnout to heat the tires and on this run i dumped the clutch at 2500 rpm's. This run was my best et and 60 ft. I know the first thing that i need to do is to get my 60 ft down. Can anyone give me any tips to try next time at the track?

First off i've used nitto drag radials, and find them to be lacking. They take a good 5 seconds to heat up. You'll have to do a brake stand in order to get some good heat on them. Once you do that I suggest that you launch at a higher rpm. I'm assuming you spun em, as those tires take forever to heat up. I'd say put the tire pressure down to 17 psi, and work your way down to 15 psi. See what works best for your track.

I'll be going to the track on June 17 and will make sure to post up my times for you to compare to.

Don't dump the clutch.

when i had a similar set up i was slipping the clutch quick from 4,000 rpm. 1.8x 60' times and 12.5 e.t.'s.

it was a full weight 6spd car with a stock '99 intake and no tune on 245/50R16 nittos. =)

i'd suggest removing the front sway bar... it makes a big difference. (my 12.5 runs were with the sway bar on).

I'm from Washington. I'm gonna try and get up there in the next couple weekends hopefully if the rain holds out.

OK I will. I was hoping to go this weekend. The weather was great for racing but the track was closed for Thunder in the Burgh. So I thought about going up to that and found out they only race 330 feet. Oh well.
