i just put my stock head back on and my mecanix find the problem y the oil get in to intake runner. but i have to talk to TSP first because i don't want to start anything with them.
now i'm out $2700+ for nothing. $1000+ for head, $850+ for install LS6 head. and another $850+ for re install my stock back on.

What was the problem? I have not heard an explanation to date, just theories.

Sorry to hear, have you considered the "out of the box" Dart heads instead?

I wonder if they'd have the same problem if they started with 225 cc heads? BTW, did they crack on the roof, the floor of the runner, or elsewhere?

That's not a problem at all. And you pretty much have to take that big *** bulge out of the intake runner to get good airflow out of the head. All you have to do is put some locktite or some kind of sealent on the intake rocker stud and you'll be fine.

What is circled appears to be a crack/hole in the casting through to the intake runner. I wouldn't use the head personally, because if its that weak then the contact loading of the spring is going to fatigue it out eventually and you may end up with bigger problems.

oh ok nevermind, i didn't see the crack i thought you were just talking about the hole from the rocker stud. If you want to sell those heads i'll give ya umm... $250 for the set.
