Stock LT1 Fuel Mileage?
What is the fuel economy for a stock LT1? I found a 1996 in really nice condition and I was wondering if I could use it for a daily driver.

LOL. Yeah, I guess you could say yours might have changed a bit. Stock numbers aren't bad though.

My girlfriends stock 94 with a CAI, A4 only pulls off about 14-15 city and 19-20 freeway, FWIW. 147,000 miles on it. Wish I could get better out of it, but so far nothing I've done has helped. It might need O2's...

I've got full exhaust, CAI, and a madz28 tune w/ an A4 and 3.23s, I get mixed city/highway numbers of about 21-23 mpg week in and week out. I drive around 220 miles every week and check the mileage religiously, gets pretty good mileage for the performance IMO, its mpg is on par with alot of average V6 powered cars these days. This is around the metro atlanta area so there is a fair bit of traffic.
On straight extended highway runs I've gotten 27 ish mpg.

I wish I could get no less than 20 from mine... I have an A4 with 3.73's and a tune and get 17-18 mixed city/highway. When I was still on the stock tune and with 2.73's I got about 15 even when I babied it everywhere for 200 plus miles. I guess mine really likes gas, since I have never gotten 20, even when it had 2.73's

I just recently changed from 3.23s to 3.73s and noticed an INCREASE in gas mileage. On the freeway, I used to get 24-25 mpg without the AC running and about 23 with it running. Well, last week on a road trip with my new gears and the AC blasting going 75 I still netted about 24 mpg.

when you have the m6 if you keep your foot out of it its amazing the milage you can get but its hard to keep ur foot out of it for sure
otherwise with a mixture of highway and town i usually average about 250 miles per tank with plenty of fuel left i usually put in less than 11 gallons so that works out to be a shade over 20 mpg not bad if ya ask me
