Default played with a grand national!!!

i was on my way back from Busch Gardens yesterday, which was pretty fun, when a black grand national came flying up on my ***. well i had 2 girls in the car with me and of course they hate when i race. so he pulled up beside me and i said no. he kept egging me on, flooring it and slowing down. so im like fu%k it! were just about ready to go when a cop gets on the interstate with us. bull ****!! so we stay side by side for about 3 mins til the cop gets back off the interstate, when all of a sudden i hear a huge turbo spool up. so i down shift into 2nd at like 60mph and punch it. i get a lil jump on him, maybe a car and til about 130 i held that lead. it was awesome. at the beginning i heard im spinning the tires alil , but he definetly didnt catch me. he had some massive drag radails on the back so i thought he would kill me. he pulled up when we were done and gave me the nod and got off at his exit. i caught hell though from the girls after that though, the whole ride home. worth it!

Sounds like a good time. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it was the stock turbo, however. The words "Huge turbo" and "Grand National" in the same story usually mean certain death to cars that trap 105.

well hey, i paid for it in the end, but it was worth it. and it very well could have been the stock turbo. are they loud? and would a stock turbo make the back tires break loose at 60mph?

its possible but also depends on what injectors hes runnig and what type of intake but more than likely he was runnung an aftermarket turbo like a te-44 or a ta-49 which isnt much bigger than stock but very low 11, capabities with the right tune

One of the only cars of the eighties that I would own. Those Grand Nationals are Badass. Since were on the topic of GN's , How did those 80's model Oldsmobile Hursts run?

Yeah, I'd say he was on stock turbo. With exhaust, they can be very loud! My brothers hot air 85 GN turbo was insanely loud! My buddy has a modded GN running mid 11's @ 112mph, so I think he woulda taken ya if it was a bigger turbo. Good runs though!
