Slp Headers
i called today and talked to slp, they said that the headers with the O2 hook up in them might still set my check eng. light off, should i just go with no O2 headers and get a O2 simulator?

I think mainly because of the price when you can get LT's so much cheaper, and the fact that because the SLP's are tuned length they hang down kinda low. So you have to be careful especially in a lowered car i.e. speed bumps and just bumps in general. I don't really care though as everything is pretty flat were I live and as far as price well they were a birthday present from my girlfriend.

My SES light was on even with O2 sims. I did notice using Shell V-power, did help it out at times. Just turned them off with LS1 edit tune at MTI. As far as the headers go, my SLP's have clearance issues even at stock ride height.

I have SLP LTs and their ORY. However, I got them for $225 together. For the price of new SLP LTs I would get some Kooks or QTPs. However, the Pacesetters work fine for a fraction of the price. If you do decide to go with the SLPs anyways, have a welder weld some metal skid plates on the bottom of the headers. One or two good speed bumps and you'll have a leak! I'm at stock ride height and I have about a pop can's clearance underneath tops.

I scraped my SLP LT's all the time when I was stock ride height.
I am yet to scrape my Kooks and I have dropped the car with the ProKit.
That is the biggest problem with the SLP headers. Mine started rusting pretty bad after about a year as well. Never saw rain.
