Default Chevrolet lied to me.

They said my Z06 could do 195mph, but I had trouble getting past 185mph last night. Perhaps the humidity and damp roads had something to do with it.

It stopped accelerating at about 180, and I eeked it up to about 185.1mph according to my GPS watch - at a speedo indicated 190mph.

I've never tried to top it out with the top down, but I get it up to about 160 off the spray pretty regularly. The soft top has been removed completely, but with the hardtop in place, I've gotten it up to 194.7, GPS-verified. It had a lot more in it, but I pussied out - for one I just didn't have the ***** (the car didn't have the aerodynamics for it), and I didn't feel like spraying 220 for 30sec straight.

EDIT: I'll have a go at it again once the weather clears.

345/30/19 - it's a C6 Z06 rim with a Viper tire. Goodyear sucks.

No pics right now. It says B18C so people would stop asking questions.
