new 427 z06 goes down.

new 427 z06 goes down. last weekend i raced a guy in a mustang and after he lost by alot we stoped to talk. he asked if i would like to race his buds new z06 vette and i said hell yeah.he called the guy to the parking lot we were in and we set it up. the vette would not go from a dig,so we went from a 15ish roll. we lined up and i let him jump first(hoping not to get smoked) 1st gear we were close,i pulled 1/2 car,2nd i pulled another 1/2 and 3rd about a full car then we let off. he asked if i sprayed because the talk was i had a system. i said no it was all motor and he said bull ****,because no body can take the new z06. i poped the hatch and showed him my bottle was off(no remote opener either) and told him if he wants to lay $$$$$ down i will show him what a 200 shot of a t.n.t kit will do 
so then he wants to start the next race at 80mph(what a ho-mo)i told him i'm geared for drag and i will be in overdrive at 120mph,i can't. so he told me he'll be back with some mods and off he went. i for got to tell him i'm getting a ls2 402 in my car w/more nos.

Sounds like a good run Mike.
One thing doesn't make sense though...do you normally use OD when at the track? You said you're in OD by 120 and it looks like you're in the 10sec club so I assume you trap a bit more than 120 in the 1320. I would think you'd want to try and stay out of OD?? Futhermore, unless you're running 4.11's+ I wouldn't think your car would actually shift into OD?? Just curious...

He only uses OD when he is towing the boat down the 1320. He still beats 350Z's though.

COMNBYU-on the stock size tires 25.6'' i can only get to 125-127mph something like that in 4th gear.i can't handle a vette on the hi-way over that speed. at the track i use taller slicks and can trap at 138-140mph in 4th gear. i was on the stock tires for this run. the new z06 is quick,real quick for a stock car. w/a few boltons the new z06 will be right on me bad. i think my new 402 will save me against the z06 w/boltons,if not the t.n.t kit will. i do respect the new vette,i love them and wish i could own one.
ALLNGN C5- i don't know him,it was just a bud of a guy in a stang. i smoked the stang bad so he wanted his boy to take me out. the guy lives in the fenton area i believe. he said like arnold.....he'll be back. so next time i'll spray him in like 3rd gear or something.

Its a bitch not being able to hang up to 120+ but then again, OD is like 4th, lol.
