Did I miss the memo on dart heads?
I guess I am the only person around that didnt know you had to grind the alignment tabs off the bottom of the rocker plates. The damn plates are so soft I couldnt even tell they cracked when I put the rockers back on. Two corvette installs, 2 sets of broken rocker plates. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Yes you missed it.

Machining change
4-10-06 is when we started machining the extra .100 towards the centerline fo the valve cover bolt hole centerline. As for the sheet saying use Comp Cams guide plates, sounds like the wrong sheets were in the box. I will check with our shipping and receiving department as to why this would occur. We cast the boss larger so the tabs need to be removed to allow the bar to sit flat. The reason for the larger tab is simple, Jesel and T & D offer systems that use larger fasteners and when you open up the stock heads for the larger fasteners with big spring pressures it breaks the bosses off, so we increase the bolt pads size. Unfortunately this has caused some issues with guys using the stock rocker bar, simple fix, but I know it would be nice to not have to do it.. I will check on the sheets and make sure it gets corrected.
Thanks

If anyone from Dart is listening or cares, please machine the slots in your heads, I'm thinking about 10 seconds of CNC time would save cutomers some aggravation. Thanks.
How well did they perform Brian?

Well maybe I should read EVERY post before installing each part, maybe I should have the since to realize the tabs dont clear the bosses, or maybe the heads come with a document that clearly defines the issue. Both sets were purchased within the last 30 days FWIW, and in sealed dart boxes.
