Please go to the "general automotive" forum and read about how there is going to be a likely merger between Nissan and GM.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/automotive-news-media-press/534646-gm-nissan-renault-merger.html
More specifically, Nissan is close to buying a significant portion of GM.
Now maybe there will be less posturing and import badmouthing in this forum.
Not neccessarily on topic but close enough. I post this here because there are so many "hooray--hooray" domestic fans on this site. Please discuss this in the "general automotive" forum.

Show of hands; who's going to start liking imports because of this?
Shame on you domestic owners for liking your cars too much!

Who in here slams a well-built, tasteful Import? I honestly havent seen much, if any, of that behavior in here. One of the reasons I like this place. It is a TRUE enthusiest site. (Even if I cant spell)

hmm weird.. i dont see how it relates to domestic fans given respect to imports though... gm isnt soley based in america as we speak, the new camaro is soposed to be made in austrailia or something. werent third gens built in canada? ... do i give a rats a_$? no. as long as it lives up to its name i could care less. for the economy cars i dont really like gm's economy cars or have any intrest in them or any economy cars for that matter. those are the only cars i could see gm getting alil outside help with. respect comes more from domestic fans to imports then imports give to domestics.. most of them never stop running there mouths about how a civic is the fastest car ever!!! or some bs like that.
