Default New 03-04 Cobra Kit weve been working on

I know, I know...

This is a GM site. But hey, a fast car is a fast car, and a sick *** turbo setup is cool on any car!

So yeah, here are the pics of the first kit. Still uncoated, mock wastegates, etc etc.

top setup

electric cutouts

wastegates, bov's and huge f'n intercooler!

passenger header swinging to the front and the downpipe headed back

Sheetmetal Upper

The main problem with kits on the newer cobras is everything ran under the K-Member and suspension. This kit is from the k-member up, in essence there is better ground clearance than stock.

The kit isnt for sale (yet) because were still fabricating, but should be done soon.

*DISCLAIMER*
I am in no way endorsing or trying to sell this kit. Just showing people the progress we are making.

Are you planning to trim the bumper to expose more of the FMIC and maybe add some ducting to force air throught the IC? Otherwise looks great!

I wish I had a pic of the intercooler out of the car. It really is massive. Its nothing like the one in the racecar though...

Eaton=476rwhp 496rwtq (upper/lower pulley, cats, boltons, HPP tuning)
N/A = 305rwhp 287rwtq (full exhaust, no headers, cats, HPP tuning)
Twin GT35R's = #'s coming soon

A kit made by Induction Concepts and tuned by HPP made 515rwhp with 9psi, 644rwhp with 14psi, and 730rwhp with 17psi. This was all on pump gas with 12* of timing, because it was back to back pulls. For the 17psi run we added a can of torco but didn't change the tune for safety sake.. Granted, that kit has 3" intercooler piping, no cats, non stock forged pistons and inefficiant airflow. I would expect this kit to make 800 plus on a stock bottom end. (remember, these cars has forged internals stock)

Is that from a 03-04 cobra? If so, how did you get that much out of the stock blower? Dont most pulley cars make in the 400-450s? N/A did you pull the blower off or is this a pre 03 cobra?

Anyway sweet setup. IMO cobras need to stop messin with turbos. Theyre already puttin the hurtin on us with the stock blower

There are alot of pulley cobras in the 450-470 range and ported blowers up around 500.

That's amazing to finally see(roughly anyways) how much the blower actually adds compared to N/A with its low compression.

I know you said the FMIC is big, but it looks really small to me. Can you post
up pics of it uninstalled? I've been considering going turbo for quite a while. I'd
like to do twins. However, there really isn't a quality twin kit out there. This looks
promising. I also put zero stock in companies putting out new turbo kits...no offense
of course.

I understand your point. Like I said before, I have an INduction Concepts car at the shop right now. Also, we have 5 HP kits to be installed in the next few weeks, they are just waiting on the kits to be built.

If you check out what weve done with the race car and our shop in the last year, Im sure youll be impressed.

Call Manny and talk to him about the kit. It has been in the works for almost a year just so every last detail is perfected.

The intercooler may look small but it is incrediby tall and thick.

Some of the interesting details:

From Manny, owner of HPP and designer of the kit-
"I wanted a 9 second true street car "I know that's what every one wants". I wanted to keep the stock fan, be able to run a bigger radiator, 3" downpipes, electric cutouts, hi flow 3" cats ( I wanted it to be sleeper quiet), aluminum discharge tubing (big weight savings), etc.... Here are a couple pics let me know what you think. All thats left is mounting wastegates, Tial BOV, and coating.
Driver side header faces forward, passenger side goes around to clear A/C, discharge tubing is 2.5" aluminum to cooler, 3.5" aluminum tubing to MAF, and 4" aluminum to TB."

Intercooler Pic and info
http://www.modularfords.com/forums/a...g?d=1150174120

On this car it is GT35R's, they are each good for around 660fwhp. Together they have already proven to make over 1krwhp on a couple different applications. The kit can house up to twin 76's, however the intercooler is good for about 1,350fwhp. So the intercooler would have to be upgraded in that case.[if you choose to upgrade to 76's]

Unit: Our preliminary production run was 5 kits, 6 counting this one. All of the kits as of today are spoken for with deposits. So in a few weeks I will post up on how all of them went and Im sure youll see the owners post up on "other" sites.

PM me for my number so I can give you the skinny and send you more pics.
