I havent seen or used one but I noticed that another place had 5" thick intercooler on ebay

Everyones had good luck with the OBX 4"....this one is even thicker and "rated" at 1000hp etc...

Think he's just informing of a new product that is available to us, dont think he's trying to sell it

but anyways for those thinking of jumping in to one of those 5", it probably would have to suite your application because a thicker core is not nessisarily better, it will provide more airflow, but not nessisarily provide better cooling, the thicker the core the harder it is to get the cooling air across the fins to cool the engine intake air.

Lol..im not selling anything. I was looking through intercoolers and saw this company had some neat shaped ones and different setups. The twin turbo ones seem pretty nice for the price.

5 inch is hugeeeeeeee thick, I cant imagine trying to get a radiator behind it.

It's got less volume and less surface area than the 24x11.75x4 models. That's not a good thing. Unless you're limited to space under the crash bar or something, stick with the 4" thick OBX clone.

I do like the endtanks on this intercooler more, though.

For as big as they are, it looks like neither of them can really flow that much air when compared to the units from Treadstone or Extreme Turbo Systems.

Yeah, that's true... I have a treadstone on my TA, seems to work like a champ. Went with them because of the lower pressure drop and higher overall flow for the size.
