Default Who makes 4.030 bore 0.045" LS1/2/6 head gaskets?

Out of curiousity, who makes good .045" head gaskets for 4" bore LS1/2/6 motors? I didn't see them available on cometics website. I installed .051" cometics because they were already paid for and here when I was assembling my block, but my quench and DCR would have both been better with .045's. I won't be changing them this season unless I have to, but I might this fall/winter.

Not sure if this helps you but Thunder sells a 4.030 .040 cometic.

119-H1295SP5040S Cometic MLS Cylinder Head Gasket, LS1 Engine, .040 thickness, 4.030 bore (sold individually)

Unfortunately, that's too thin. My current quench was ~.043-.044", I'd like to drop .005, but I think .010 is too much.

Cometic will make you any thickness you want. Just call a vendor who sells the gasket and have them order them for you. I've ordered custom ones from SDPC and they got here within a week.

.033>.034 quench is great
If it doesn't cause PTV issue then go for it.

.033-.034 is tighter than I feel comfortable with while spraying up to a 200 shot on the car. I'm sure PTV issues would be fine. -14cc dished pistons gave me a lot of room here, but thats still too close for my comfort.

I actually ended up with a PTH clearance problem when I ran .025 quench and didn't let the motor warm up properly

if you call cometic directly they will get you any size you want within a week.

No dissin, but do you know what quench (squish) is??

If you spray that is even more reason to run tighter quench.
Whether you are comfy or not is not the issue.
Your motor will be comfy that is for sure.
Tighter quench will better flame travel and reduce detonation which is exactly what should be done.

I do know what it is and why it's valuable to have it right. But from all reading I've done on this site, everything I've come across to date says ideal is ~.35-.40 for a streetable motor. If I'm wrong, I'm just misinformed.

Quench causes maximum turbulance in the mix helping it burn fast and consistently. It helps prevent detonation which is made worse by a stagnant chamber with inconsistencies in the charge IIRC.

V10, your setup is hardly what I would call a "street" setup, 200 shot big cubes, stand alone fuel cell etc...
Your setup is a race setup driven on street. Whether NA or juiced a .033/.034 quench will have no negative impacts
