Default LT's What was your MPG before and afte???

Interested in putting LTs on my car cause i can get them cheep and i've put on 5 sets so its no prob. The only thing i am worried about is the drop in gas milage. I dont want to spend the cash to have it tuned after the install. How much will they affect my MPG?

bad mpg the first tank til the PCM adjusts, then better mpg if you can keep your foot out of it and even better mpg yet with a tune

"usually" you lose a couple mpg because it runs alittle richer until a tune.of course the coated ones will retain heat better so there may be a difference,i don't know for sure.

I didnt get my car tuned, but I had the code deleted for the rear O2's so the car isnt running pig rich.

Honestly, my mpg stayed around the same. I went from 20.xxx to 21. Thats all city driving, but the gain gas mileage wise was minimal.

i know mine runs richer because its untuned, but even if it was tuned i doubt it made it better because i cant keep my foot out of the gas now.

maybe if somebody else drove it the mileage would be better, but the sound is going to make you not care about the mileage.

Its a legit question. My favorite thing about my camaro is that it gets 20mpg. No reason not to drive it.

Well the car is just transportation. It is pretty loud now and i dont get on it much at all. It has !cats and a unrestrictive cat back. I really dont care how fast this car is, I was just wondering if it would help with mpg. I'll soon be driving over 500 miles per week and i could get a set of headers for cheap.

If I were in your position, I wouldnt buy them. You arent really looking for more performance or a louder car.

All you would get out of them really is less ground clearance. Even though some headers tuck really well, you're still gonna lose some and IMO its not worth it if you arent trying to make your car faster.

Just my two cents though.

I went ahead and picked them up. I usually get around 18mpg on a mixed mostly city dirving. On the Hwy i usually get 22, we'll see what happens. $250 for Hookers with ory is a good deal right?

Id say 250 for headers and the ORY is a damn good deal. What kind of shape are they in?

use to only be able to get 250 out of a full tank, now with a tune and LTs i get 300 out of a full tank even when i do some WOT pulls messing around. and thats through a 3 inch cutout in the I pipe.

I picked up about 2 mpg on the highway and about 1.5 in the city. I'll be getting her tuned in a couple weeks, so we'll see what it's like then.
